Evaporative Coolers are perfectly suitable to cool down the rooms like data centres, telephone exchanges or communication rooms. They can operate independently or along the traditional DX refrigerant cooling systems. If the Evaporative Coolers work on their own the operation is exactly the same as described at the beginning of this catalogue (page 2). If they work together with the DX coolers they take the main cooling and ventilation burden. The warm ambient air is cooled down and cleaned on the Evaporative Cooler(s) then distributed to the room. Such supplied cool air travels across the length of the room to the extract grilles on the other side displacing the warm air in the process. The room conditions are controlled by precise temperature and humidity sensors. The key to successful operation is the intelligent controller managing both the evaporative and DX refrigerant systems. If the evaporative cooling is not sufficient to maintain the internal pre-programmed conditions the controller (receiving the signal from sensors) dictates start of the traditional DX refrigerant cooling. As mentioned before the Evaporative Coolers work most of the time with need of supplementary cooling from the DX refrigerant coolers only at high ambient temperatures/humidity. The evaporative cooling saves lots of energy, is environment friendly, reduces use of the DX refrigerant cooling system to minimum thus extending its life time. Every existing application utilizing DX refrigerant cooling benefits financially following the introduction of the evaporative system alongside due to its much lower operational costs. The Evaporative Coolers are taking over control by providing inexpensive cooling.

Approximately 30kW of cooling can be obtained from just 1kW of electrical power

Benefits of using Evaporative Coolers in Data Centres, Telephone Exchanges and Comms Rooms:

  • Reducing electrical consumption by up to 90%
  • Low capital cost
  • Low installation cost
  • Low spare parts cost (cheap maintenance)
  • No use of refrigerants
  • Simple construction
  • Very efficient in hot days
  • Easy maintenance
  • External location (does not require space allocation in the room)
  • Does not require special fittings or extensive ventilation ductwork systems
  • Have a broad range of temperature and humidity control
